Job SummaryThe Assembler is responsible for manually feeding laundry into machinery, such as folding and ironing machines. The Assembler staff works as a team, and each member may operate different machines within a shift, as well as handle both wet and dry laundry as needed.Essential Job Functions, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesThis position will work within a team of people performing similar duties. Along with one or more team members, an Assembler may perform some or all of the following duties during a given shift:Push/pull a cart of clean linen to workstationIdentify the customer by the customer tagSeparate mixed clean linensFeed linens into machinery for folding or ironingFold linens and mops by handPlace linens on an automated conveyorPlace linen onto a metal hanger (cubicle curtains)When necessary, stack linen as it comes out of folding or ironing machinesVisually and manually inspect linen to maintain qualityMaintain a clean workstationDemonstrates friendly and respectful behavior in the work environmentAssist in any job necessary as instructed by ManagementAdditional duties as assignedPerform job rotation as requiredAdditional Responsibilities:On occasion, an Assembler may be requested to handle linen that requires special attention, including:Counting folded linens and stacking them by countAssisting in conducting inventories for accountsMinimum QualificationsAbility to read comprehend and write in English and/or SpanishQuality orientation and high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situationsStrong teamwork skills - ready and willing to work closely with team membersOpen, and able, to work, day or night shifts, and willing to rotate shifts depending on production needsOpen to long hours and working weekends (Saturday/Sunday) when neededPass a drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience working in a plant environment
