About the job

Buckley’s Family Adventure is a 25,000-square-foot family entertainment center in Woodland Hills with electric go-karts, laser tag, a two-story play gym, arcade games, birthday parties, food, and more. We’re building a team of people who genuinely enjoy being around families, know how to make guests feel welcome, and aren’t afraid to jump in wherever they’re needed. This isn’t a job where you stand at one station all day. Our team members are cross-trained and rotate throughout the facility. One shift you might be helping a family check in, the next you’re running go-karts, helping with laser tag, supporting a birthday party, or jumping onto the floor because that’s where you’re needed. What you’ll actually doYou’ll help create the experience our guests remember.Depending on the shift and where you’re assigned, that can include:Welcoming families and helping with check-in and admissionOperating POS systems and handling guest transactionsOperating and monitoring attractions, including go-karts and laser tagGiving clear safety instructions and making sure attraction rules are followedHelping guests throughout the arcade and entertainment areasAssisting with birthday parties and special eventsManaging lines and helping keep guests moving smoothly through attractionsAnswering questions and helping solve guest problems before they become bigger problemsRestocking supplies, keeping stations organized, and supporting other team membersCleaning attractions, counters, tables, guest areas, and equipment throughout the shiftRotating between positions and stepping in wherever the team needs helpAt Buckley’s, there really isn't a “that's not my job.” If a family needs help, we help them. If something needs to be cleaned, we clean it. If another station gets slammed, we jump in.That mindset matters more to us than having worked in a family entertainment center before.Who we’re looking forYou don't need to know how to operate a go-kart track or laser tag system yet. We'll teach you that. We're looking for people who are naturally friendly, dependable, and comfortable talking to strangers. People who notice when someone needs help instead of waiting to be asked. You should be able to stay positive when the building gets loud and busy, communicate well with both kids and adults, follow safety procedures exactly, and work as part of a team.Experience in hospitality, restaurants, retail, attractions, amusement centers, arcades, movie theaters, theme parks, or other guest-facing businesses is helpful, but it's not required. We care much more about the person than the résumé.RequirementsMust be at least 18 years oldMust be available to work nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to reliably get to our Woodland Hills location for scheduled shiftsComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentComfortable being on your feet for most of your shiftAble and willing to rotate between different positions and responsibilitiesAble to communicate clearly and professionally with children, parents, and other guestsWilling to learn and consistently follow attraction and facility safety proceduresDependable attendance and punctualityAble to work cooperatively as part of a teamThe honest partNights, weekends, and holidays. That's when families come, so that's when we work. It's loud. It's busy. You'll spend a lot of time on your feet. Kids will be excited. Parents will occasionally be frustrated. There will be spills. There will be lines. Sometimes three different people will need something from you at the same time. And we're a new operation. We're still learning, improving systems, and figuring out better ways to do things. Some days will be messy. You also won't have one little station that's “yours.” You may start your shift at check-in, move to laser tag, cover someone's break at go-karts, help clean up after a birthday party, and finish the night helping another area close. If you're looking for a job where you can disappear into the background and wait for someone to tell you what to do, this probably isn't it.If you like people, like staying busy, and get some satisfaction out of making someone's day better, you'll probably like it here. What we offer$21.00/hourPlus:Free employee meal up to $25 per eligible shift2 complimentary Buckley’s Adventure Passes per month ($50 monthly value)California paid sick leave1.5x premium holiday pay on designated holidaysOne paid Birthday Celebration Day off annually$20 per paycheck Uniform & Appearance Benefit$10 per paycheck Cell Phone ReimbursementEmployee Recognition ProgramPaid training and position-specific training needed to safely perform your jobOpportunities to learn multiple areas of the business and grow into additional responsibilitiesHow to applyApply at the link and tell us a little about yourself. There’s one short written question on the application:“Tell us about a time you made a stranger’s day better than they expected.
