Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Scrap Management Industries inc. is looking for a skilled Supervisor/Diesel Mechanic to oversee our maintenance shop and help maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Our company runs a high-volume freight operation, and we rely on professional mechanics to keep our trucks DOT-compliant, road-ready, and running at peak performance. Duties/Responsibilities:Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, and trailer systemsOversee direct reports and ensure policies are followedPerform routine maintenance, including PMs, oil changes, tire checks, and brake servicesUtilize diagnostic tools (Cummins Insite, Noregon, etc.) to troubleshoot issues and complete repairsConduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA standardsMaintain acc urate maintenance logs and repair records (digitally)Coordinate with dispatch and operations manager for truck downtime and service schedulingRespond to occasional roadside service calls or after-hours breakdowns (rotation basis)Performs other related duties as assigned.
