JOB TITLE: General Education PT Adjunct Faculty Algebra and Statistics STATUS: Part-Time or Full-TimeTYPE: On Campus, Remote or On Campus/Hybrid as permitted by Director of Education REPORTS TO: Program DirectorPURPOSE:To provide high-quality instruction and guidance to students within the designated subject area. Smith Chason College faculty members play a vital role in fostering an engaging learning environment and facilitating student success. Faculty will deliver effective instruction that aligns with the approved syllabi, guidelines, and program standards, while collaborating with fellow department team members. Additionally, all faculty are expected to model professionalism in dress, action, and communication at all times. Overall, faculty members will empower students to achieve their academic goals and prepare them for a future in the medical workforce. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and maintain up-to-date syllabi for didactic and practical courses, aligning with program objectives and industry standardsDeliver high-quality lectures, optimize instructional resources, and set clear expectations for students Provide exceptional instruction using current references and handbooksAssist students with questions and provide constructive feedbackDemonstrate respect and empathy towards students, acknowledging and accommodating their diverse personal differences and educational needsProvide timely feedback on academic progress and regularly update the Program Director on student performanceMaintain accurate academic and attendance records, submit grades promptly, and report academic success issues to the Program Director/DOE using the appropriate forms and procedures Adhere to the educational institution's policies and professional codes of conduct, respecting confidentiality and upholding ethical standardsIncorporate team-based learning strategies, participate in faculty meetings, engage in professional development and foster an inclusive and diverse learning environment Perform additional duties as assigned by Campus Director, Director of Education, and Program Director
