HVAC Mechanical Technician

Position Summary:The HVAC Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on NRG Controls projects. This position performs hands-on mechanical work related to HVAC system assembly, piping, ductwork, and equipment installation. The HVAC Mechanical Technician ensures all systems are installed and maintained safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Install, assemble, and test HVAC systems, including piping, ductwork, and mechanical equipment. Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC components and control-related mechanical systems. Follow blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate installation. Support system startups, testing, and commissioning alongside project teams. Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical system issues. Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good working condition. Coordinate with BAS technicians, electricians, and other trades to complete installations. Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety regulations and NRG Controls’ quality standards. Document work performed and provide updates to supervisors or project managers. Participate in ongoing safety and technical training programs.
