Manufacturing Shop Floor Engineer

The Manufacturing Shop Floor Engineer will act as a bridge between engineering, machining, fabrication, quality, and production teams to ensure tooling and assemblies are manufactured efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with customer requirements.This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone with strong manufacturing process knowledge and a passion for aerospace production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport daily shop floor operations involving:CNC machiningWelding & fabricationMechanical assemblyAerospace tooling manufacturingReview engineering drawings, BOMs, and customer specificationsDevelop and improve manufacturing workflows and routing processesTroubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actionsCoordinate with machinists, welders, inspectors, and program managementAssist with fixture design, tooling concepts, and process optimizationEnsure compliance with quality standards and customer requirementsSupport first article inspections and production readiness reviewsMonitor manufacturing efficiency, throughput, and schedule adherenceParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesInterface with suppliers and outside processing vendors as neededQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in:Mechanical EngineeringManufacturing EngineeringIndustrial EngineeringOr related field3+ years of manufacturing or shop floor engineering experienceAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TFamiliarity with machining, fabrication, and assembly processesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsExperience in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPreferredAerospace or defense manufacturing experienceExperience with:CNC machiningWelding processesAerospace toolingGround support equipmentKnowledge of:AS9100Lean manufacturingRoot cause analysisERP/MRP systemsCAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)What We OfferOpportunity to work on advanced aerospace and defense programsHands-on engineering environment with direct production involvementCareer growth within a rapidly expanding aerospace manufacturerCompetitive compensation based on experiencePaid holidays and benefits packageCollaborative and high-performance team environmentLocation Doral / Miami, Florida
