Operator Biofuels

We are seeking a driven and experienced Operator – Biofuels and Jet to join our operations team within a dynamic trading company. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in operations related to biofuels and jet fuel, solid knowledge of shipping logistics, and a strong commercial mindset. The role requires a proactive and motivated professional with the ability to delegate and coordinate tasks effectively within the team, ensuring efficient execution of trades and smooth cargo handlingOperator Biofuels, 100% Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Manage all operational aspects of biofuels and jet fuel cargoes, from deal confirmation through to final delivery and settlementCoordinate multimodal logistics, including vessels, terminals, rail tank cars, and other relevant modes of transportHandle shipping activities including vessel nominations, terminal coordination, loading and discharge operations, and operational documentation such as bills of lading, customs documentation and letters of creditCoordinate the nomination, scheduling, loading, tracking and delivery of rail tank cars, where applicableDevelop and maintain operational plans and schedules to ensure timely and efficient execution of physical tradesAct as a senior point of reference within the Operations team, delegating tasks and coordinating with colleagues to ensure effective workflows and clear ownershipMonitor execution closely, anticipate potential delays, bottlenecks or other operational risks, and take proactive measures to meet contractual delivery commitmentsLiaise with external stakeholders, including shipping agents, terminals, inspectors, surveyors, logistics providers and other operational counterpartiesEnsure cargoes and related operational activities are executed in accordance with contractual and applicable regulatory requirementsIdentify, address and resolve operational issues or discrepancies promptly and professionally, while considering their commercial impactWork closely with Trading and other internal stakeholders to ensure operational considerations are reflected in commercial decisionsContribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, controls and procedures, and actively promote knowledge sharing within the team Minimum 5 years of experience in operations for biofuels products or jet —ideally within a trading environmentStrong understanding of shipping logistics, incoterms, and trading documentation.Ability and willingness to take on delegation and coordination responsibilities within the team over timeCommercial awareness and ability to assess operational impact on trading decisionsDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneouslyFluent in English; additional languages are a plusPreferred QualificationsExperience with biofuels/ jet regulationsFamiliarity with jet fuel blending or terminal operations.Prior experience in a team lead or mentoring role within operations is a plus
