As we expand our specialty services, the Telepsychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA) – Oregon delivers accessible, patient-centered psychiatric and behavioral health care through telehealth to CCD patients located in Oregon, including patients coping with cancer diagnoses, chronic illness, and treatment-related stress. The ideal provider is clinically confident, personable, collaborative, and comfortable providing care in a virtual setting, and will help develop and grow behavioral health services as part of CCD's new cancer center.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESTelehealth Assessment & DiagnosisConduct comprehensive psychiatric and mental health evaluations through telehealthObtain patient histories, assess symptoms, and develop individualized treatment plansDiagnose and manage appropriate mental health conditions within the provider's scope of practiceConfirm at the start of each visit that the patient is located in Oregon, and note the patient's location for emergency purposesRecognize situations requiring referral to a psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, emergency services, or other specialists, and follow CCD protocols for urgent and crisis situations during virtual visitsTreatment & Medication ManagementProvide medication management when appropriate and within scope and licensure, following federal and Oregon rules for prescribing by telehealthMonitor patient progress through virtual follow-up visits and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicatedProvide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and wellness strategiesDeliver compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care in a virtual environmentCollaborationCollaborate virtually with physicians, advanced practice providers, mental health professionals, and other members of the multidisciplinary care teamCoordinate with outside mental health professionals and track referral loop closureHelp develop and grow behavioral health services, telehealth workflows, and patient resources as part of CCD's new cancer centerAttend occasional onsite meetings, trainings, or team events at CCD clinics or the cancer center as scheduledDocumentation, Privacy & ComplianceMaintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical documentation within the EMR (EMA / Modernizing Medicine)Close charts and select accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, including telehealth codes and modifiers, in a timely manner to support compliant billingMaintain appropriate standards for patient privacy, confidentiality, and telehealth practiceMaintain compliance with applicable federal and Oregon regulations, telehealth requirements, clinical standards, and CCD policiesWHY JOIN CLEAR CHOICE DERMATOLOGYJoin our team dedicated to advancing dermatological health.
