Shipping and Receiving ClerkATACO Steel Products Corp.Schedule1st Shift: 4:00 AM – 2:00 PMOccasional mandatory Friday overtime (no more than two Fridays per month)Position SummaryThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk supports daily shipping and receiving operations so that materials and finished goods move accurately and on time. This position loads and unloads trucks, prepares shipments, verifies materials, and enters shipment data into the company’s computer system, all while following proper handling and safety procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesLoad trucks and prepare materials and products for shipmentVerify shipments for correct materials, quantities, and documentationPack and crate materials for safe transportationApply proper tags, labels, and handling instructions to outgoing shipmentsSecure and brace materials in trailers to prevent damage in transitUnload incoming trucks and inspect deliveries for accuracy and conditionReceive materials into the computer system and complete required documentationMove materials throughout the facility using appropriate material handling equipmentPerform general material handlingKeep the shipping and receiving area organizedFollow all company safety procedures and policiesPerform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or member of managementQualificationsPrevious experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing preferredSkills and AbilitiesAccurately verifies materials, quantities, and shipping documentationBasic computer skills, including entering data into company systemsSafely operates forklifts or other material handling equipment (or is willing to obtain certification)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsWorks well independently and as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsLift, move, and handle materials up to 50 lbs.Stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periodsWork in a manufacturing or warehouse environmentBenefitsDentalVisionHealth Savings AccountsShort- and Long-Term Disability401(k) with company matchVacation and Holiday PayEducation AssistanceProfit SharingAdditional InformationAll employees are expected to abide by and support the Company’s Values, Mission, and Vision Statements.
